Text: 2
Chronicles 7:14
If my
people, which are
called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and
turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Introduction:
Three
Wills of God:
1) Will
Hear
2) Will
Forgive
3) Will
Heal
He
is waiting for us to do three things:
1) Humble
Ourselves and Pray
2) Seek
His Face
3) Turn
From Our
Wicked Ways
Let us
talk about heaven, not
so much what it looks like but what is going on there.
1.
From Heaven
a.
The Bible declares, “Jesus is there”.
Colossians
3:1
If ye then
be risen with Christ,
seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on
the right hand of
God.
b.
Jesus said that was where He would be.
John
14:1-2
1,
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe
also in me.
2, In my
Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place
for you.
c.
The disciples watched Jesus go up into heaven.
Mark
16:19
So then
after the Lord had
spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on
the right hand
of God.
d.
Jesus work was done here on earth.
Hebrews
1:3
Who
being the brightness of his glory, and the express image
of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when
he
had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the
Majesty on
high;
Hebrews
10:12
But
this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins
for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Hebrews
12:2
Looking
unto Jesus the author
and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him
endured the
cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand
of the throne
of God.
e.
Jesus is ruling
1
Peter 3:22
Who
is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God;
angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
Are you
subject unto him?
2.
Why Is Jesus In Heaven
Hebrews
9:24
For Christ
is not entered into
the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but
into
heaven itself, now to appear in the
presence of God for us:
Hebrews
8:1-3
1,
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We
have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the
throne of
the Majesty in the heavens;
2,
A minister of
the sanctuary, and of
the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3, For
every high priest is
ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of
necessity that
this man have somewhat also to offer.

Three Ways
Jesus Ministers For Us In Heaven
a.
Hear
Revelation
5:8
And
when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four
and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one
of them
harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers
of saints.
(Love Letters)
Revelation
8:3-4
3,
And another angel came and stood at the
altar,
having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that
he
should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the
golden altar which
was before the throne.
4, And the
smoke of the incense,
which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended
up before God out of
the angel's hand.
Jesus
hears us
Hebrews
4:14-16
14,
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that
is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
profession.
15,
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like
as we
are, yet without sin.
16, Let
us therefore come
boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace
to help in time of need.
b.
Forgive
1
John 2:1
My little
children, these things
write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an
advocate with
the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Romans
8:34 (33-35)
33,
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It
is God that justifieth.
34, Who
is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea
rather, that is risen
again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh
intercession for
us.
35, Who
shall separate us from
the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or
famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Hebrews
7:25
Wherefore
he is able also to
save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever
liveth to
make intercession for them.
Luke
15:7, 10, 23 (a. Lost Person b. Lost Values, c. Lost
Inheritance)
7,
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven
over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and
nine just
persons, which need no repentance.
10,
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of
the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
23, And
bring hither the fatted
calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
c.
Heal
Land
affected by sin, we are affected by sin and need to be
healed.
Isaiah
53:4-5
4,
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our
sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted.
5,But
he was wounded for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement
of
our peace was upon
him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Closing
Jesus Is Waiting For You
Hebrews
7:25
Wherefore
he is able also to
save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever
liveth to
make intercession for them.

us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of
need.
